Directions

  1. Prepare the Garlic Butter
In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes, just until fragrant. Be careful not to let it brown; you want a soft, aromatic garlic flavor. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. Make the Creamy Lobster Filling
In a large bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat with the warm garlic butter. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, chopped chives, salt, and black pepper. Stir gently to coat the lobster evenly without breaking up the chunks too much. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  3. Toast the Buns
Brush the sides of the buns lightly with melted butter if using. Toast in a skillet over medium heat or in the oven at 190°C (375°F) for 3–4 minutes, until golden and lightly crisp on the outside while still soft inside.
  4. Fill the Rolls
Open each warm bun and generously spoon in the creamy lobster mixture. Don’t be shy—this is the star of the sandwich.
  5. Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle extra chopped chives over the top for a fresh finish. Serve immediately while the buns are warm, or chill the lobster mixture slightly for a more traditional cold-style roll.

  • Mix in finely diced celery for extra crunch and texture.
  • Prefer a classic style? Skip the mayo entirely and toss the lobster only with warm garlic butter and lemon.
