Directions
- Fry the Wonton Cones
- Heat oil in a deep skillet or pan to 175°C (350°F).
- Wrap each wonton around a cone mold, or shape carefully by hand, ensuring the edges overlap slightly.
- Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 1–2 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Prepare the Shrimp Filling
- In a medium bowl, combine chopped shrimp, mayonnaise, sriracha if using, sesame oil, rice vinegar, green onion, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy and evenly incorporated.
- Cool and Fill the Cones
- Let the fried wonton cones cool slightly so they hold their shape.
- Carefully spoon the shrimp salad into each cone, filling generously but without overflowing.
- Garnish
- Sprinkle chopped chives or extra green onion over the top for color and a little extra crunch.
- Serve Immediately
- Arrange upright in a bowl, plate, or cone holder and serve immediately to maintain crispiness.
