Ingredients
For the Steak
- 2 beef steaks (sirloin, ribeye, or filet; about 6–8 oz / 170–225 g each)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
- 1 tbsp (14 g) butter
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- Fresh thyme or rosemary, optional
For the Shrimp
- 12–16 large shrimp, peeled and deveined (about 200–250 g)
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil or butter
- 1 tsp paprika (or smoked paprika)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Pasta
- 250 g (8.8 oz) spaghetti or linguine
- Salt, for pasta water

- 3 tbsp (42 g) butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup (120 ml) reserved pasta cooking water
- 60 g (2 cups) fresh spinach
- ½ cup roasted or sautéed red peppers, optional
- 2 tbsp (15 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- Chili flakes, optional
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
